Usage of knife, fork and spoon

The knife is used to cut food. Don't pick up food with a knife and send it to your mouth. Remember: hold a knife in your right hand. If three kinds of knives of different specifications appear at the same time, the general correct usage is: the one with small serrations is used to cut meat food; Medium size used to cut large pieces of vegetables into small pieces; The small knife with round tip and some upturned top is used to cut small bread, and then use it to pick some jam and cream on the bread.

Take a fork in your left hand and fork the food into your mouth. The action should be light. Pick up an appropriate amount of food and put it into your mouth at one time. Don't drag a large piece, bite it and put it down. It's very indecent. When the fork picks up the food into the mouth, the teeth only touch the food. Don't bite the fork, and don't let the knife and fork make a sound on the teeth or on the plate.

In formal occasions, there are many kinds of spoons. The small ones are used for coffee and dessert; Flat for buttering and dividing cakes; Relatively large, used for soup or small food; The biggest is for sharing soup, which is common in buffet.
